De ZTAHL Portofino 1815-Platinum is een stijlvolle 8-lichts design hanglamp waarin moderne kokers en elegante stoffen lampenkappen samenkomen in één bijzonder armatuur. De combinatie van functioneel licht en sfeervolle verlichting maakt deze hanglamp tot een echte blikvanger boven de eettafel, vergaderruimte of open leefruimte.
De drie slanke kokers zorgen voor krachtig, gericht licht op het tafelblad of de ruimte eronder. De drie stoffen lampenkappen verspreiden juist een warme, zachte gloed en creëren een uitnodigende sfeer. Deze unieke combinatie maakt de Portofino 1815 geschikt voor zowel functionele als sfeervolle verlichting.
De hanglamp is opgebouwd aan een elegante Deens ovale plafondplaat van 145 x 55 cm. De acht lichtpunten hangen op verschillende hoogtes, waardoor een speels en ruimtelijk effect ontstaat. Met een maximale totale hoogte van 130 cm vormt de lamp een indrukwekkend middelpunt in ieder interieur.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
